Welcome to Covenant Lutheran Church where we Love God, Love Others, and Serve with Joy.
"I am amazed every day at how the people of our community are joining in God's redeeming work."

Who Are We?
We are an ELCA Lutheran Church in Temple, Texas. We started in a founding member's home and over time have grown until we got our own building (which in just the past few years we have done some wonderful renovations to). These days, while we are still growing, we are very focused on giving back to our community and have numerous outreach programs to work with and support those in our community who need our help most.
Where We Came From
Covenant Lutheran Church began as a gathering of believers in a home and eventually grew to the point where we had to meet in a movie theater. We were organized December 6, 1981 and the building we currently worship in was dedicated June 7, 1987.
Where We're Headed
We hope to continue to grow every year, every month, even every Sunday so that we can care for and teach as many people in our community as possible. We hope to extend our most important message, "Love God, Love Others, and Serve with Joy" into Temple, TX and beyond as much as possible so that we can help the world we live in to become a better and more loving place for all.
What That Means for You
You are welcome here! We welcome people from all walks of life and we want to help and serve everyone.
Ways to Get Involved
Churches Touching Lives for Christ
Feed My Sheep
Covenant Mother's Day Out
The Best of the Wurst
Tree of Hope
We Care Bee Quilting
Crafts for Christ
There are endless ways you can get involved to give back to both the community and the church.
We are always looking for volunteers to work with those in charge of our outreach programs so that we can give back to our community. If you are interested in participating in any of these programs or wish to learn more about them, give us a call at (254)773-7718 so we can get you into contact with the right people so that you can start volunteering.
We also have Peanut Butter Sundays on the last Sunday of every month during the Sunday School hour (9:30-10:30am) and we strongly encourage everyone to participate as we put together sack lunches to distribute to those less fortunate in our community ever month when we sponsor Feed My Sheep.
We are also always looking for people to help with our Sunday services as there are plenty of jobs to do at each service as the service relies on volunteer members who want to be as involved as possible.
