Bible
Study: The People of God:
Unity
in the Midst of Diversity
In session
8 of our current study the focuse will be on "Barriers to Resurection." the theme verse is:
"They had been saying to one another, 'Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?' When they
looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had already been rolled back." Mark 16:3-4
We live
as resurrection people, in the knowledge that Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose from the dead, overcoming the bondage
of sin. Even with that knowledge, we often live as though there are still barriers that keep us from being the forgiven and
freed people of God. In this session, we will look at barriers to resurrection life and how we as a Christian community help
the barriers to stay in place - or help others to overcome the barriers.

Renew, Respond, Rejoice!!!It was a wonderful, uplifting, joyful trip to Spokane to the Triennial Gathering
We spent the 14th, 15th and 16th of July being renewed. We made new friends, saw new sights and enjoyed the cool climate
of Spokane. We were inspired by our keynote speakers, blessed by the worship and full of joy worshipping with 3000 other women.
The banner that I entered
in the quilt show did not win a prize, but it was a blessing to see it hanging with all the others. The
winner was a beautiful quilt with an angel appliqued on the front. (Why didn't I think of that?) There were too many
prayer shawls to count! And of course, I made a stop in the quilting area to piece a top for Lutheran World
Relief. Thank
you to everyone who encouraged me and prayed for me. I returned to Temple ready to inspire others to "Renew,
Respond, Rejoice"!
